Redcoats: British Infantry in the Crimea (Magazine Special)

The second bookazine title I proposed to Key Publishing, and like the first (Zulu) it made the best use of my understanding of the core audience and Victorian warfare to inform a product that would offer something genuinely fresh for all levels of knowledge.

By focusing almost exclusively on the experiences of the British soldier in the Crimean War, the book was able to touch on aspects of social history - medical care, military reform, and, the role of women - that might have otherwise escaped notice in a more generic title, while making sure that the great battles of the campaign retained their customary blood and thunder.

Redcoats: British Infantry in the Crimea is available now priced £6.99. Find out more at shop.keypublishing.com.
