This article was written to the commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Luftwaffe’s bombing campaign against British cities. The challenge with the social stories in Who Do You Think You Are? is being able to give as full an introduction to a topic whilst also deepening people’s understanding of it, to keep it general whilst also touching on some hyper-local angles which can inspire the readers to start exploring their own Blitz stories.

Blitz Spirit appeared in Who Do You Think You Are? issue 169. Find out more at whodoyouthinkyouaremagazine.com.
